Police Blame Teen for Fatal Crash

The police of Cook County are blaming a teenager for not yielding which caused a fatal crash with a police car. The crash happened when the teen failed to yield and was struck by an unmarked squad car.

A dead teenager’s mother expressed outrage Tuesday after Cook County police blamed her son, not Evergreen Park police, for the October crash that resulted in his death.

Off-duty Officer Killed

An off-duty officer in Texas was killed in a car accident. The officer was standing on the side of a road near a truck when a 17 year old hit the truck he was next to, killing the officer almost immediately.

Sirois was taken to a Eufaula hospital where he was pronounced dead. He suffered, head, internal and external trunk injuries as well as arm and leg injuries, the patrol reports.

The patrol reports the car driven by Hobson was going south on U.S. 69 when the car struck the pickup that was disabled and partially in the roadway. The impact caused the disabled pickup to pin Sirois between the pickup and a guardrail. Sirois was wearing a reflective traffic vest with a badge and firearm visible at the time of the accident, the… continue reading
