The search for a missing mother who was involved in a car accident has temporarily been called off. The mother has been missing since she was involved in a car crash that killed her husband.
They have not ruled out the possibility she was picked up by a passing car and for some reason has yet to contact her family.

Tanya, 40, of Ransom, vanished following a one-car accident that killed her husband early Sunday morning on the Grande Ridge Mazon blacktop near Seneca.
Dale Shannon, 41, died when the car slid on an ice patch, struck a utility pole and landed in a ditch, according to investigators.
Police found Tanya’s footprints in the snow leading away from the car but the trail ended at the side of the road. It’s possible blowing snow covered up other tracks.
The couple was coming from a holiday party in Streator. A patrolling police car came upon the accident scene along the remote stretch of road at 1:45 a.m.
