In Long Island, an elderly woman accidentally took male sex drugs which had been disguised as over the counter pain killers. A man at a CVS disguised the pills.
A 72-year-old woman fell victim to the scam, when she consumed Omega-3 supplements for macular degeneration. She became sickened after taking the Iron Man Plus, a male erection pill, which Purnsrian had placed in the bottle.
Police say it is unknown how much money Purnsrian made off his scam. CVS customers can receive a full refund if they believe their purchases had been tampered with.
Purnsrian pleaded not guilty Wednesday to criminal nuisance, grand larceny, scheme to defraud, falsifying business records and reckless endangerment.
The Nassau County District Attorney has set up a public health hot-line for anyone who believes they may have purchased bad over-the-counter medications at 516-870-2802.
